Issue with character obj, totally stumped, obj will not import correctly, help!!

Hey all, I would really appreciate some help on a nasty issue I have with a character model at the moment. It's driving me absolutely crazy and it's important I get it figured out quickly.
Basically, whats happened in this: the character is an edited version of a previous character I've modeled in 3ds max. I unwrapped and textured the previous character with no issues at all. I've had some really weird and serious issues with this character and I have no idea how to fix the problem, as I'm a big noob when it comes to technical stuff in 3ds max.
I usually unwrap my models with a simple 3rd party program unwrapping called Roadkill. I finished modelling this character, and went to export it as an obj file to roadkill. The program refused to import the mesh and threw up this error whenever i tried to import any obj from the 3ds max file.
I've never had this error in the program. The model had basic uv info, I'm pretty sure. Even when I try to import a single plane obj into the program it gets this error.
I figured I would unwrap it directly in 3ds max, so did, everything went smoothly and i unfinished the unwraps. I texture my low poly models in 3D Coat, so I went to import the exported obj file into 3d coat.
It refuses to even register that I was trying to import the file! So I have no way to texture it at the moment.
I'm really really lost and have no idea to fix this, or even how to find out what has gone wrong. I haven't done anything different from what I usually would, and I'm pretty sure my obj export options are no different either.
Please, if somebody more experienced with 3d max could help me out, I would REALLY appreciate it! I'm going to upload part of the mesh as an .obj file, if somebody could check out the model, pinpoint the problem, and give me instructions on how to fix it, I would be forever in your debt because it's driving me absolutely mental.

Have you tried exporting a simple cube? Once you get that to work, then repeat with your more complicated model.
Have you tried reading the Help file for Roadkill? Maybe something in there about what it expects from Max.
