how to make videos within zbrush?

I've never made any timelapse recording before.

I once recorded myself in zbrush, i can't remember the 'ins and out but you basically create a script and zbrush interpret this as a recording that you can watch later.

The video you linked isn't a timelapse. It's "Fhistory". Forward History recording essentially goes through all of your actions saved in your zBrush history, and creates a recording out of it showing your process. Example below.

You can change the camera options to completely stop movement, move only the model, etc. It's pretty diverse, and I'm a big fan. Especially since every time I try out a time-lapse, I screw up what I'm doing! Hah.

There's also Zscript (macros) but this is probably a remnant of the old ver. of zbrush 3.1 and the likes.

does fhistory allow multiple subtools to be added into the movie, or does it just follow the undo history of one subtool?

As far as I know, it only works one subtool at a time. I'm sure there would be a way of getting it to work on multiples at once.
