The idea is to create a research / mining facility
on a planet who's sun is about to go super nova. Thought it would be a nice dramatic sky box, as mentioned in the unreal tournament streams.
Heres a couple of thumbs / quick ideations.

The map itself will be in the top part of the platform, comprised of 3 floors connected by cargo elevators, unreal tournament style
Put together a reference sheet with screen shots from Alien and Outland, Chris Perna mentioned those movies as inspiration. Thought I'd share it
A couple of window pattern variations, trying to find a cool form language. Did a quick sketch of the three floors in the level and a front view.
I decided to continue exploring the design and did a quick 3d block mesh.
A sun about to go supernova will definitely give Epic some things to work with in the FX department.
My account seems to be working alright so that shouldn't be a problem.
Block model finished, here's the render I'm using as a base for painting. This block model, photo bashing and painting pipeline is new to me, but feels good so far.
