Here are the results from our first Substance Contest: Battle of the Titans!
As a reminder, the grand winner gets to spend an all-inclusive week in either Los Angeles or Paris and hang out with the Substance team, along with software licenses and next gen consoles.
All winners get lifetime licenses and upgrades of Substance Painter and Substance Designer.
I'd like to congratulate all the contestants and especially the winners, the response of the community and the entries were amazing. The jury, composed of top artists from EA Dice, Dreamworks, Riot Games, Naughty Dog or Blizzard Entertainment had a hard time deciding between all the competitors.
We hope to see more and more polycounters participating in future contests!
Man these are awesome, I'd love to know the workflow. But you know what, it's great to see stuff like this can even be done in Substance, really shows off the power it can have.
We teamed up with Allegorithmic and worked on a prototype of a physically based rendering viewer to showcase the winning titans! Below are the top 3, and you can find all of them displayed with skethcfab on the winners page.
I didnt expect the model to be shown off in sketch fab, is there a way that I would be allowed to tweak it? The uvs on the teeth are showing a skin texture and I think the pose that shown was only meant for texturing purposes, the manta is upside down.
