Import OBJ into Zbrush as a subntool

How would I import an OBJ into zbrush without it being added as a subtool or replacing any existing subtools.

I would like it to instead have its own slot under subtools?

When you load a new tool, both your sculpt and the new tool would show up separately in the tools palette. Simply switch back to your primary sculpt by clicking in the tools palette and append what you just loaded to it.

Select a zbrush primative first before importing. The import will replace that instead of your sculpt.

What I did in the end was quickly masked and area, did an extract and then imported over that.

I'm not sure which one you're looking for. But if you want it as a subtool, Subtool Master's multiappend does the trick quickly.
