Hi, I am asking if there is a tool , a plugin or something that allows to paint a colored brush progressively changing the surrounding to different colors .
What I mean in a more direct description is .
imagine a blue map .
a lookup table of blue , violet , red , orange , yellow and white .
When I pass my brush round over that blue map the brush , according to the strenght placed ( if I selected white ) paints white and in all surrounding of the brush creates degrees levels of the other , violet , red, orange and yellow according to the blurr of the brush and the surrounding of the color, so if I pass over a violet area the border goes from violet to red directly and not passing from blue etc ....
unfortunately I dunno how else describe this process but I tought I was clear?
If you understood what I am looking for I would then ask if there is a way to influence this also with a secondary layer so that if I place for example a black and white underlying layer under the blue , it changes accordingly the strenght or the influence of the painting?

Please draw an example.
And as Farfarer said, use a gradient map adjustment layer.
