Is this something that might be okay for an fps war game to start? Anyone that has more experience in this know? I've been trying to research this more but it seems like there is different ways to go based on artist preferences.
My goal is to build an animated character for a game that I want to make. It's going to be an fps war game but I question myself as to if I am going about it the right way. I kinda prefer sculpting better more because I am more comfortable with it but I've read blocking it out is better for animation and topology so I've been doing my best to get better at Maya. Although from what I've read and seen zbrush and 3dcoat seem to do really well for that also.
So here's my second character build that I started:
- I know it's not really that great. Am I going about this the right way? I know I probably need more facial detail but I'm trying not to make it too detailed or too complex for myself. I think I would need to make clothing next right? Then add that as a sublayer then retopo the model char as a whole right?
Or what would be a better approach? Any thoughts?
