Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of learning a ZBrush workflow and currently have a small piece I'm working on to learn the new workflow. I'm running into issues with requiring more polygons but I know I'm going wrong somewhere. I've tried Remeshing, zRemesh, Decimation and DynaMesh combinations with no such luck.
Hopefully the images attached help but I has made a mesh in 3DS Max, brought into ZBrush for finer detail sculpting using brushes and alphas to stamp in to the surface, but none of them provide the sharp detail I'm looking for so I figure I need more polys right? I try to bump up the polygon limit but my system crashes even with 32GB of RAM
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong or have any suggestions? :poly117:
Thanks!

Hey, yea I'm setting 512 but getting jaggies with the panel grooves I set to 2048 and they go but that isn't great practise right to work at a 2048 res in DynaMesh?
Nah I wouldn't recommend it, a lot of people tend to cut their mesh up into more sub tools though to get higher resolution across differing parts, and it tends to give it more form, if you extracted your panels, or did some panel loop techniques it might suit you better than just working on the singular sphere.
Also: where did the rest of your polycount go? 8 mil polys on that helmet, can't you distribute the density more the way you get the most where you need to sculpt?
