I hope I am not too tardy to the party.

My idea is this kid and his pterodactyl themed hover board competing in this "racing" competition that he later finds out the last match is a free for all death race.

I have some rough concepts and what I have already started to work on.
I would love o hear any feedback or suggestions.

This is what I got done today. I got started on the pterodactyl before I got to caught up in the rider. I still have a ways to go.

Hey sweet concept. Looks like you still block things out. Why no little tail? He needs it for steering and overall selfconfidence. The back looks really rigid right now, guess thats because the rider will stand on it like on a hoverboard. maybe try something that extends from the shoulder area so he can stand on it like in your drawing top right drawing. So you have a t form on the back with a more flexible spine.

On a second thought the board should work the way you have it as long as it does not connect to the body all the way through.
