Decided to post some progress on this character in order to hear from your feedback, good or bad.
Right now I am starting to work on the folds for the chaps and later the leather jacket
Already did a detail pass on some of the accessories on the lower body:
Here is the concept by Alexander Ovchinnikov:
This is my first time bringing a character to a game ready stage so there are a lot of hurdles ahead for me! Hopefully this thread will allow me to get tips, advice and constructive criticism.
What do you think...feel free to leave your comment!

I'd say it's a pretty good start. Keep going !
Just make sure that the end of the 2 belt straps on the left actually continue further under the chap. And not just end right where you have it.
I think shoes are a little too big?
keep going..

@apllana: after your comment I superimposed a render on top of the concept at the same angle and everything is at the right proportions, same thing for the head. Thanks for the encouragement!
@superfranky: I am a fan of the original as well because of lack of good references I decide to go with a more general Nordic male look. Im sure the beard will bring it all together.
I was expecting the real technoviking too, pretty disapointed ^^.
Not a bad face, but the real one is better.
Not all of them necessarily, just find areas where you think there would be more bunching ( around the shoulders and arms, near the bottom, near zipper) and deepen them a little.
This one might not apply though it's up to you. it looks a little manufactured at the moment with the bottom of the jacket being perfectly straight, It kind of looks like it has cardboard underneath holding it all up, Deepening the creases should help but also add some hang like this:
Doesn't have to be as much as in the image, but pull the bottom down a little/rotate so the front or the back hangs more, but adjust everything else accordingly so it doesn't look like it's stretching as well.
Just some crits, Hope it helps. Looking good so far.
@Spiffy : I had already deepened them a little because i noticed the lack contrast as well, I guess I have to push it more.. the straightness is due to the large chestplate under the jacket. I was going to distort the overall hanging look for the jacket on the low poly model.
thank you all for the feedback! @PyrZern Thanks dude!
