Those textures look really great!
Did you usually polypaint before sending it to photoshop?
I also think that the wooden bracers should either have a smoother gradient or a harder/more random transition (its suppose to be some sort of moss right?)
Fuck yeah DAZZZURLLLLLLLL!!! Great work guys, keep that bar high!:thumbup::thumbup: cant wait to see what else you guys are cooking up, Sunshield hype! Happy Hatting!
Yup! On the sculpt shot, the first and last ones are both with Polypaint (one shaded and one flat). I then bake it and Arty does her magic over it. I can see what you mean with the bracers, but I think I personally like them with a 'harsher' gradient, as a sort of tinted/stained piece of wood.
Forgot to post this here! We made a single item for Enchantress around the weekend, with some particles from The Horse Strangler! Here's the Workshop link and a bunch of pictures from everything:
Thanks for the comments! Sadly, it seems like undercuts are not so popular at Valve right now
On the bright side, our Dazzle set is now ingame! You can buy the Treasure of the Hallowed Lands to support us and all of the other amazing artists that are part of it! And also, 10% of every purchase goes towards the prize pool of Dota Pit Season 3, so if you're into esports, definitely check that out!
There is also a Compendium with the ticket, and if we reach the stretch goal, you guys might see our Queen of Pain wings on the game!
Woo! Thanks again everyone! The wings are now available ingame, so be sure to grab the Dota Pit Compendium to get yours!
In other news, it took us a while to finish this, since we had to focus on the Dota Pit league in the last couple of months, and that made us put this project on a bit of a pause. Still, we're really happy to show everyone our new set for Medusa: Gorgon's Grace! Click the image to check it out on the Workshop!
As always, a bit of documentation of everything:
Hope everyone likes the set as much as we do! Medusa only has one set currently ingame, and very few contributions on the Workshop. We believe we did a good job on creating something different for that beautiful snake, but let us know what you think!
Awesome image dump and awesome set! It's great to see everything like this. Hopefully Valve will consider it, they've seemed pretty vocal about not wanting custom particles.
