PETROL/BLOOD - Kreuton

Hey there. I've been wanting to join in on a challenge for while and thought I'd try my hand on this one. I've been enjoying seeing the other entries come in. I'm not much a character artist, so I'm looking forward to the practice.
My idea is to have a death match scenario featuring a small fairy-type creature riding a small cute, yet dangerous, mount. I think it'd be a good way to push some colors I don't normally get to use which will be fun. And putting cute things and colorful flowers in the midst of some blood and chaos will lead to some interesting compositions I think.
Some reference I've put together:
I want to use different parts of some of these animals to create a cute but dangerous creature
Some rider elements I want to include. Will need more thought on this part though
