xgen in maya not working

hi there, im trying to apply fur in maya using xgen but i get the following error (Cannot add the following items to the set since the set has restrictions on membership : groom_description4Shape)

i get the error whenever i create a new XGen description using groomable splines (use for short hair, fur,grass etc)


any ideas? thanks all

im having the same issue . i hope someone can really help on this issue
