I'm so sorry about this crappy thread. I'm looking for a blog.
The guy who writes it finds interesting art stuff in games and tries to work out how it's made, he then breaks it down on his blog with pictures from in game and his own experiments.
It's really really cool but I can't remember what it's called. I've spent days looking for it myself but I'm giving up. Does anyone know of this blog? He's covered zelda wind waker and I remember one about a the magic potion ui ball from one of blizzards games.
The reason I'm posting here is because this is where I originally found it. Someone here must keep better bookmarks than me and know its name.

Yes! That's the one! Man I love you
Lol Eric, that was the final straw! I went through the wiki and even that white paper page looking for this blog just before I posted this thread.
I'm about to start work on one and I could do with some insights from people who have tackled them before. I remember seeing a video where an artist talks about what considerations him and his team made when designing the levels. I think it was Diablo, Would be cool to check that out again.
I've got a lot of info from the psd's the guys at valve released concerning characters in dota which is totally amazing. If anyone has any links like that it would be greatly appreciated. I'll dig though the white paper section on the wiki tomorrow and post anything cool I find here, someone might even find this thread useful :P
EDIT
