Hi!
First off I want to apologize for the confusing thread title but I couldn't find an appropiate one for my issue, also I hoped I posted this in the appopiate section.
My question is : How to break the boring 'tilingness' when using modular assets. As you can see in the picture posted below the texture repeats itself and I want to add some variety to it.
From what I know I could use decals and/or vertex painting.Though I'm concerned about their performance on large scale scenes. Are there any other techniques I can use to add some variety to the hallway(cracks, dust, etc.)?
By the way,I'm using Unity.
(example hallway).

Thanks in advance!

As for decals and vertex blending, you're not gonna run into performance issues unless you go totally crazy with them.
