Hi Guys,
I'm new to polycount, and would be great to get some honest and creative feedback on a sword I've created for Kunkka.

Feedback on the whole item is welcome but primarily the color of the straps has been giving me a headache. Ive added some quick variations.

Would love to know what you guys think.

sword looks good at overall. but i'm not sure for straps. its not old or broken sword. do you think it should be? if you still want to put it, it must have own geometry i think.

Thanks for the feedback t1mu, i really wanted to have some geometry at the top of the straps to give it depth at the top and bottom, but the poly count was being pushed to the max, i may go back and have a go with fresh eyes tho.

The main reason behind the straps being there is to add a bit of variation to that area of the sword but i agree they mainly suite old, well used swords, but i couldn't think of anything else suited for kunkka to replace it, although they have grown on me slightly.
I'm not too keen on having it in a broken style although it is something to think about, as I'm not too sure it would suit kunkka's base style.

Been working on a weapon for Axe, with major thanks to Stefco for the concept. Would love to know what people think and if it should be altered in any way.

Oh Sir! That axe is great! love it, the only thing I dont like is the pommel... When I open the image my eyes focus on the pommel, like is strange to the rest of the design. But thats a personal opinion, overall the axe is great.

@El Marco, thanks for the feedback, I may alter the color of the pommel which hopefully may make it a tad more subtle, failing that i may scale that area down a touch so its a little less bulky , Ill add a link when i've done it

I like the design, however the straps do indeed look a bit odd, though i do understand that you made your decision based on the poly budget. It looks a bit shorter than the swords that are already in the game though, but perhaps that's just me.

I think the straps look weird because there's no geometry for them, or if it is it's very subtle. The result is that the look more like sticky tape or something than actual leather straps.

That said, I quite like the red ones.
