Anyone else think that this show is pretty good?

    Never heard of this show before, but holy crap am I intrigued! That opening was pretty amazing, and from what I read on wikipedia is suppose to be a prequel to Treasure Island. I'm reading that book with my kids right now and this sounds super interesting. Gotta check this out.

    It's a surprisingly decent show, I really enjoyed it. Wouldn't watch it with your kids though... lol.

    Looking forward to season 2.

    HAHAHA!! No no, I didn't mean watch it with my kids. haha, the fact that it's on starz alone is enough to keep em away. I mean for me, I'm a HUGE pirate fan and since I am reading the book I'm very interested.

    I'll be laughing at the thought of that all day. "Hey Kids, you like Harry Potter, a fantasy show called GoT is on!". Thats a bit how is was when i was a kid though, my parents were somewhat clueless and if it had sci-fi or fantasy elements they assumed it was a kids movie. I watched Predator, Terminator, and Alien at a way too young age. I still have a note from my first grade teacher to my parents telling them how I described the entire plot of Predator to her and she didn't think it was appropriate. My parents started to catch on.

    yeah I had treasure island on my shelf too, and started reading it after seeing black sails, figured it was about time.

    I will say this, the show starts off slow. But to its credit each episode is progressively better.

    Someone described me that show as a GoT/Vikings show but with Pirates, which should be pretty good. I have to find time to watch it. Pirates are always awesome.
