Should I use linear colorspace in Photoshop?

Recently I've been reading about linear workflow and I'm trying to adopt it. It seems that Blender automatically corrects any sRGB gamma 2.2 images to gamma 1.0 before rendering so I don't need to do anything there, but I do wonder about Photoshop. (Although Blender appears to export renders and bakes with gamma 2.2.) Should I set Photoshop to use a custom RGB working space with gamma 1.0 then use View > Proof Colors set to sRGB at gamma 2.2? That way I can see the colors correctly on the screen but they are saved in gamma 1.0.

You should work with sRGB at gamma 2.2. Even though blender sets them to 1.0 for rendering it more than likely gamma corrects the output image. Mental Ray in 3ds Max works this way.

If that's the case you'll have a harder time working with linear colors, and the result is gamma corrected in the end anyway.
