Mudbox File Stuck at 55% Calculating Normals

Hey guys,

A piece I was working on in Mudbox several hours ago saved correctly and shut down without any problems.

However, when I try to open both the .mud and .bak files, it launches mudbox but gets stuck calculating normals at 55%.

I'm not sure if the file's actually corrupted or if it's just having a hard time loading because I had too many subd levels on when I saved it.

Any help would be awesome! :)

    After almost 45 mins of allowing the scene to load, it worked! :) I suspect it was just freaking out trying to load all my subd levels.

    Yeah, I've found you have to be really careful when subdividing in mudbox. You can easily subdivide to a point where it might take an hour to load your file. In the end this is one of the big reasons I use Zbrush almost exclusively now... I feel like there are a lot more tools for keeping your poly count in check/
