Amazon Game Studios is looking for an exceptional environmental concept artist who will work closely with the Art Director to establish the style and feel for our games. As the ideal candidate, you should be able to concept beautiful and inspiring imagery - from grand panoramic establishing shots, to the smallest prop.
You will be working with a talented group of artists and will have the ability to both share your hard earned knowledge and continue to develop your skill set by learning from your teammates.

Job Description
Amazon Game Studios is looking for an exceptional environmental concept artist who will work closely with the Art Director to establish the style and feel for our games. As the ideal candidate, you should be able to concept beautiful and inspiring imagery - from grand panoramic establishing shots, to the smallest prop.
You will be working with a talented group of artists and will have the ability to both share your hard earned knowledge and continue to develop your skill set by learning from your teammates.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Art Director to produce quality designs that define the look and feel of the game.
- Create a range of concept art that includes thumbnails, sketches, model sheets and illustrations.
- Maintain visual style as defined by the Art Director throughout the development cycle.
- 3 years of experience generating concepts for environments for video games
- Ability to quickly generate new concepts and then produce iterative revisions upon receiving feedback from the Art Director.
- Must have a strong understanding of lighting, mood, architecture and environmental detail
- Must have an understanding of how a 2D concept will translate into a real-time game asset.
- Must have the ability to take constructive criticism and maintain a professional attitude.
- Self-Motivated, team player with excellent communication skills.
- An online portfolio with samples of your work.
- 3D modeling experience preferred
- Traditional art skills (drawing, painting, sculpting) a plus
