Hi friends. This was my school assignment. We need to build a character with our own concept. I wanted to make a hot at the same time a kind of action chick. The primary character design was based on Claire's design from Crysis 3
Primary Design
Zbrush render. Megan fox was my main reference.of course it didn't look like her.
Didn't get time to make alpha planes for hair. I'm so bad in doing that. but will learn and replace the hair for sure.
Is this finished or a WIP? I'm not an expert with characters but it looks good, especially the face, which is the most important thing. I'm not excited about the gray color choice for the backpack/straps. The original Claire concept has more detail in the backpack and straps around the waist with black, green and white mixed in throughout. The gray looks plain, like untextured 3d models which creates a green, red, gray color scheme which is a bit busy and less organized. The shoes could use more definition like in the concept as well. the shirt in the concept is actually two shirts, one a white T-shirt and the other a sleeveless top ... it looks flat here ... looks like you painted them on the same shirt. I'm not saying the shirt and pants have no definition, but they look flat and could use more. Overall good work, but keep going.
here is a nice pic of Megan Fox with a similiar hairstyle if she is supposed to look more like her.
Really liking your face...but not too crazy about the hair. Actually really prefer panel hair over the polygon ponytail...just seen too often. But i guess you got deadlines and more complexe hair takes a lot of times.
Still i would look into what ScottMichaelH said. The accessoirs might do well if bigger so the explorer thing gets more clearer. Like this she looks a bit like a jogger in military clothing simply because i barely saw the puches and stuff on my first look. And her feet and shoes really look too small.
Still good job on anatomy and baking, looks really good
Scott & Anchang: Thanks for your feedback. I had a shitty deadline on this assignment. like three weeks in which i had to do my UDk level design assignment and Unity C# assignments(i suck a lot in coding). I took quite a bit time in face and anatomy and had to rush with rest. So definitely i'm gonna revisit MRS.Fox and improve especially with the accessories.
The first thing that stuck out to me was the difference in colors between the concept and your model. Your model's colors seam washed out (clothes and skin tone) except you pumped up the saturation of the red shirt. I would either try to match the value and hue of the concept or I would try to make a color scheme that is equally as strong.

My two cents.
