fixing a scratched Contiq

hi,

unfortunately i scratched my realitively new cintiq with somne electronic junk i carelesslyplaced on it.

has anyone experience with scratched cintiqs?
(i once hat the same problem with an intuos and i simply sanded it down till the scratches didnt matter anymore)

but im a bit concerned this would work with a cintiq so well

Edit: i watched a plastic repair video, and i think im goiong to buy a buffer and polish the shit out of it

The Cintiq screen is tempered glass with a thin, anti-glare film on top. I'm not sure you can buff that out, it might just wear out the film in that spot.

You'd probably be far better off sending it in and stating that you weren't doing anything unusual with it and seeing if they'll cover it under warranty.

For what it's worth.. My cousin sells and repairs watches.
I have seen him fix a scratch on the glass of one of them with super glue and a razor.

Afaik basically its filling in the scratch with the glue and using the razor to git rid of the excess. Anyway I do not nearly have enough knowledge or experience with this.. so if you decide to use this method and screw up.... dont blame me. =]

Yep, contact them, send it in, don't try to fix it yourself.

Even if it isn't under warranty, which is unlikely, you should at least be able to pay them a fee to repair. Which would be far cheaper than replacing it.
