Hello,
My Maya student license is now expired, I need to find a new software.
I was thinking about Blender, but there are several small issues while doing Game Art (where is Set Normal Angle ?!) and I don't feel comfortable with the soft.
Maya is really too expensive. 4000$ for a software with features I'll never use because I don't care about (Biffodt, nSolvers such as nCloth...). And I don't wanna pay for features I'll never use.
So is Maya LT a good solution ? Only tools I need (modeling, rigging, UV, baking), decent price (250$/year) and I already know the software so I don't need to start from scratch.
But, I need to be sure that GoZBrush is working with Maya LT. I'm not sure because I seen that a polygon limit was set (WTF ?!)... So if I export a detailed character from ZBrush to Maya for retopology will it work well ? And is TURTLE a decent baking module ? I use XNormal but if I can't export the HighPoly I can't use it...
Thanks for answer,
Samuel.

Why would they though, It will force Mudbox onto people instead.
Mudbox is not ZB's equal. Dynamesh, ZRemesher, Polyloops, ShadowBox... And I already bought ZB
