I'm working on recreating the game Eart 2150 with the Starcraft 2 Galaxy Editor.
My first steps are to update the ingame models to a much higher texture resolution, polycount and use of spec and normal maps.
So far I build some basic version of the ED Defense tower and the ED powerplant. (

I also finished the high poly version of the UCS Energy Transmitter today.
As I always looking for feedback and I'm not very experienced with ingame models I want to ask for your feedback here.
Energy Transmitter (HP) (Ingame hight ~ 4-6 Meters):
Low Poly (ingame version)
Vert count: 3375
My plan would be to add some panel lines and bolts with nDo. Then create the base textures with dDo and mix them with some hand-painted textures.
What do you think?
Next Step: laying out the UV (I hate this part^^).

I did a quick AO and normal bake and imported it to UE3:
I also did a quick block out of two additional buildings:
UCS Civil Production Facility (which contains the Energy Transmitter)
UCS Supply Depot:
As this is planed to be importet to the Galaxy Editor to server in an RTS I don't strive towards ultra high details (approx. vert.-count per building ~5000).
