This is my next project. I chose this to challenge myself because it includes both organics and hard surface modeling. I'm also going to challenge myself to hand paint the textures. This concept is from Trion Worlds RIFT and I aim to get my art to that level.
Do many studios use Zbrush or sculpting software or are studios mostly looking for artist to use only Photoshop for textures?
Steps for production:
1. Model base mesh in Maya
2. Create Normal Map in Zbrush
3. Hand paint Diffuse Map in Photoshop
Is this how modeling is done in a professional studio?
