I decided to create Cheytac m200 sniper rifle. This is my 2nd time, when i trying to make it (last time i did not have time to finish it) Here are some screens from 3dsMax. I'm recording my modeling, so after i finished it i will upload move in to youtube.
what I wanted to say is: dont bake the holes on the muzzle flash, that will look
terrible. Maybe the small ones, but not the big vents. If there is one big flaw in your mesh, all people will see is that thing. The "youre judged by your worst piece" does apply the same in individual artworks

I'm not sure why i shouldn't bake it on normal map. Why you think it will be look terrible? I just want to create black texture in this place and it will be look like hole... i think so. About edges.. i will try to make them softer in zBrush
