I think you have some great material definition here. I looked up some reference images on google images and it seems like the cloth wrap should be closer to the very bottom of the bat, although I don't think it matters too much.
The other thing that could be worth changing is the actual wood part. The nails look rusted and worn out, which is great, but the bat itself looks pretty brand new. I think it could help tell a story if the bat seemed a bit more worn out/old/etc.
