Can we have a separate freelance OFFERS subforum?

In the past years I would check the freelance subforum every now and then to see if there are any interesting offers that involve making stuff I enjoy to make.
And back then there was no problem with that since 'offer' to 'freelancer' thread ratio was like 40/60.

But these days every page is pretty much 18 portfolios and 2 offers. Spotting an offer in the ocean of freelancers became a damn annoying and time consuming process.
This led me to ignore the freelance section completely and check other sites instead.

I'm sure that lots of people have similar experiences and I could see employers being put off by this as well.
After all when you want your offer to be seen by specialists with a specific skillset it doesn't help when said offer gets buried by 'looking for work' threads.

So yeah, can we have a separate 'freelancers' and 'freelance offers' section?

Not a bad idea actually, kinda split into 'Jobs wanted' and 'Jobs offered' sections.

Entirely agree. I pretty much ignore it as well.

It will lead to further confusion, though. Even now people seem to having hard times with distinguishing on-site, freelance and worst of all royalty based works.

What about merging the Royalties and Unpaid work sections, so something like:

- Full Time/Part Time work
- Remote Work Offered
- Artists seeking work
- Royalty based/Mod Projects

Or something along those lines...

It would be great to move the artist seeking work to it's own thread. That way there is no confusion and no clutter.

I agree a separate artists seeking work subforum would be great! I went to freelance once and been avoiding it ever since.

I think it would be better to merge unpaid and royalty works under same sub-section. So there will be one address for non-immediate paid works and would help the forums become less cluttered. There's a high risk of that new 'offers' section to be disrupted by royalties and whatnots. They're ok, but only in appropriate sections. It's unpleasant to read whole post in freelance sub-section and see in the bottom line that it's actually royalty-based.

Igl, because a few idiots post in the wrong section, shouldn't condem them all. Just report the thread and let a moderator deal with it. Up to and including ban. Hell, if you really wanted, threads would have to be approved before publication.
