Hi folks! Im rather new in this world of wonderful things. Im currently studying GameART in a Master located here in Italy. I honestly dont know if its the right place for asking stuff like this -
if not please have my apologize - but after a long dig in to the net, I wanted to ask a professional help.
Do you know some lectures I can read about 3D for
gaming? I mean some guide or books about it, about Maya and in general. I have one book and Im still attending the course, but Im a freaky about it and I just want to know more and more about it
Thanks for reading and helping!

Gnomon Workshop - Loads of Video Tutorials
Ballistic Publishing - Game Art and CG books with tutorials
3DTotal - Lots of books and video tutorials
and not forgetting the Polycount Wiki
And for specific things just plain old Google.
Oh and the Autodesk help pages are also quite a useful resource.
Though the best way to learn is by just doing it and posting your art on Polycount for feedback.
As for books I recommend general art books, like colour theory, lighting, anatomy or architecture.
I can recommend this book for colour theory [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Color-Light-Guide-Realist-Painter/dp/0740797719/ref=cm_lmf_tit_7"]Color and Light: A Guide for the Realist Painter: James Gurney: 9780740797712: Amazon.com: Books[/ame] (though I still need to finish it myself)
Also check out vertex magazine.

I was able to do that, that's why I precisely asked for "a professional opinion".
Thanks to everybody else I will check out!
I made a list of a few books I really got a lot out out:

This is always the #1 book I recommend, really amazing and it helped my art a ton.
