have to say that the results don't look very clean to my eye. plenty of triangles on display. even at medium distance the shading issues in their videos are pretty visible. that would take some time to clean up after the plugin.
other than that - is the whole plugin summed up with that blend function shown in the videos or is there more to it? e.g. maya's surface constraints seemed pretty basic last time i looked at them. looked like plenty of opportunity to go in and add further tools there for starters. i assume the boolean stuff shown in the bike helmet tutorial is part of maya's standard toolset?
Triangles are to be expected because of the boolean workflow, but this shouldnt matter if its the hipoly model that will not be subdivided. It shouldnt be confused with subD modeling. What makes this plugin valuable are the fillets created between the different surfaces.

No, you can do booleans, but nothing like that out of the box. The pre-cut subdivision you could probably manage, but the boundary solutions is the real magic here.
