@Sukotto - great suggestion man! I've got to build some space rocks to toss in here, and add some more damage to the helmet.
@OrganizedChaos - blarg that seam is still there I think I have to offset my UVs.
I still don't know if I want the helmet to be transparent or what. There's no alpha map at the moment. maybe painting one up would help.
Things still left to do:
- Make space rocks
- Overall material definition/dirt/damage
- Tweak emissive
- Change pose. I'm probably going to raise the arms up like he's trying to stabilize himself
- Overall texture polish (and fix that seam!)
- Presentation.
I'm not dead yet! started working on this again since i decided to print this.
im still blocking stuff out and tweaking shapes a ton, especially his face which im not done pushing T_T still a lot to do!
Lot's of radness going on in here! @ daphz - I'd say go with some transparency on the helmet... maybe tinted slightly. would be nice to see the character's face and the cool blue glow inside. Also, space rocks!

small suggestion - if it's not too late you might try arcing either the horizontal strap and/or the top edge of the visor. you have a lot of wonderfully dynamic lines in the character, and those two horizontals sorta break your flow and just feel more conventional in comparison.
Back with some Sol lovin! Made some progress today, i got his sword blocked out along with some tweaks to sol. So i want to pose him, that means i can only take this sculpt so far in terms of pants, hair and whatever depends on posing. I just hope i didnt go to far T_T. ill be finishing the sculpt in pose.
Thinking of this pose, but i dont think it will be possible due to balance and its pretty high scope. Any ideas for posing, im all ears!
ooo lookin good! i think the shoulder area looks a bit slim maybe? looks pretty regular to me. push it to da limit! haha. also that weapon. make it not boxes. maybe change it to the new version. like this?
Looks good! But I wonder if the inside of the shoe is concave enough between the heel and the tip of the foot. Now it feels a bit like he could swap his shoes without real discomfort.
