Hi Everyone!
This is LOST ORBIT, a small indie game we've been working on for the last year. I wanted to share our latest gameplay footage and screenshots and get some feedback.
We're also on
Greenlight and would really appreciate your vote!!
We'll be posting updates often so keep an eye out.
LOST ORBIT
Stranded after his ship is destroyed in deep space, Harrison, a lowly maintenance worker and our hero, must struggle to find his way home...
LOST ORBIT centers around the exploration of space. Players take control of a lone astronaut (Harrison) who sets off on a dangerous journey to rejoin his civilization, armed with only an improvised set of equipment and a relentless spirit. Without the help of his ship, Harrison will need to use the gravitational forces of planets to navigate and propel himself through space.
Set in a world rich with comedy and tragedy, LOST ORBIT is a game filled with risk, loneliness, wonder, and death.
Features:- Explore 40 levels set across 4 unique solar systems on your perilous journey home.
- Each level features a detailed ranking system and time trial mode.
- Choose and upgrade your set of abilities to customize Harrison as you see fit through a light RPG system.
- Boost, swim, bounce, leap and teleport your way through a myriad of obstacles.
- Simple and intuitive controls make the game easy to pick up, yet surprisingly deep.
- Balanced between tense technical moments and cathartic graceful flight, LOST ORBIT is a game that is instantly immersive and satisfying to play.
- Die alone in space; where no one will know of your struggle.

Best of luck on greenlight!!!
Looks really nice. Great work guys!
Love the art style And the sounds are great! (Except I dunno where the birds are >.>)
The ship is really quite tiny - smaller than the exhaust. Even looking at the still image I have no idea what it looks like.
The machines are rather arbitrary; they're just hanging out without any sense of purpose. For the toothed wheel, for example, why not have it breaking up a larger asteroid, spitting out clouds of dust and the occasional small asteroid?
The GUI is very minimalist at the moment, only displaying the number of items collected. If you really plan on displaying that, then it's far more common to display it in the upper left corner.
Birds? Ill have to keep an ear out for birds hahaha
Thanks for the crits DWalker, you made some really good points! The ship is actually a little dude in a space suit. If that's not recognizable then we really need to address that.
I agree about adding some more colour to the crystals, theyre a bit blah right now.
The machines are a bit arbitrary and more for gameplay, but I'll see what we can do to make them fit in a bit better.
We are gonna add a little more to to GUI but I do like the idea of moving the collectable location if thats all we stick with in the end.
That's a good call, the trailers are usually perfect runs. If your interested in seeing the game in it's natural state, check out this stream we did with IGM's Average Giants.
