Hello I've been practicing for a year now still a long way to go but enjoying every minute. I decided to stop lurking and make a sketchbook, I would really love some critiques from you guys.
Well after a break trying out animating, I am back to sculpting but I will continue to animate too.
Critique welcome, I followed reference and used some of Ryan Kingleins techniques. I will start again tomorrow until I get the basic shape down and then move onto more detail and building up muscles.
Just wanted to say your humanoid dudes face gave me a good chuckle. Cool creation.
For the skulls I can see you improving each time! Keep it up!
One thing I notices was around the teeth, they bulge the skull a little where they fit inside the jaw and it is not a straight line across but like a bunch of mini arches. See below image for what I mean:
uping the polycount for more definition might help
Keep up the good work!

Hey thanks for posting, I implemented those changes along with a few others, I sort of get what you mean but I didn't understand it fully, hopefully I got it somewhat right and I'll look at more reference tomorrow morning.
Tried a head sculpt just to see what I've learned from practicing skulls. I would be really grateful for critique on this but I understand if people are too busy
Been a while since I've updated this thread, I've been getting used to University and my modules have mainly been doing hard surface/animation and scripting.

Edit: tried following a different reference.
Still some things off, I haven't put any time into learning body anatomy yet because I want to get to a decent level at facial anatomy first.
Here's a sculpt I did today-
