The Liverpool Office Ltd is looking for a talented and enthusiastic graduate 3D Character Artist and Animator to join our team. Projects are diverse in content and scope, consistently presenting the team with new challenges.
Requirements:
We are looking for graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 degree who thrive on challenge, enjoy developing new skills and relish the opportunity to grow within a fast-moving environment.
The ideal candidate will have impeccable skills in character modelling, texturing and animation. You will be working on a number of different projects requiring a broad range of art skills so it is important to have a strong understanding of both traditional and digital art methods including 2D and 3D art pipelines.
You must be willing to learn new software packages and develop creative solutions where constraints are applied.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and creation of 3d models (human & non-humanoid as well as scene props)
Character rigging and animation.
Developing visually stunning textures.
Improving the quality of existing 3d models.
Assisting the development team with ideas for improving the quality of the visual effects.
Develop high quality realistic game characters.
Creating, modifying and improving motion capture animations recorded with our motion capture suite.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Must be proficient with or 3DStudio Max, Maya or any other applicable modelling packages.
Experience with sculpting software packages such as Zbrush or Mudbox is a bonus.
Must have a strong understanding of human anatomy and fundamental animation principals.
Must have strong traditional art skills.
Must be able to create realistic, human & non-humanoid models and animations.
Experience and understanding of existing games engines, preferably Unity3D.
Must be proficient with Photoshop or other texturing packages.
Ability to manage your own time, solve problems and deliver on time.
Ability to operate alongside developers, designers and producers in a team environment.
Some knowledge of shaders would be advantageous but not essential.
Portfolio and/or reel demonstrating relevant artistic skills required
