Hi, im new here.
im making an armor, just for fun and to practice with zbrush and max, got the basic shape done, now i want to add that detail to some borders, made the alpha in photoshop, more or less like the reference but i see no way to put it in there right, without overlapping and such.
So i'd need like a way to place the alpha on a curve (so it will deform a bit) and like tiling right.
btw im still a noob with zbrush, so maybe its so easy to do it and i havent realised...
anyway thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I've also tried using radial symmetry but when the instances overlap it looks horrendous.
Placing each one by hand is a pain and they never line up exactly, even though it's tileable.
EDIT: Just realized the photoshop idea is for creating custom alphas for each use, not for painting directly on the diffuse map. But in my case, I want to create a belt that goes all the way around with a pattern.
