Empire Studios looking for talents to work on-site!
Greetings,
We are a start-up company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain (next to Dubai), Middle East. We are looking to fill up few senior positions to take lead in the very first serious game project within the region! We are offering full-time on-site jobs on a per-project basis. Our work-in-progress project will require your physical presence in a total time period of 2 years. It is up to you by then to either continue adventuring with us on another project or move back home. And of course, the Unreal Engine 3 will be the engine of choice!
Important Note: Any interested developers wanting to work remotely are welcomed. However, priority is given to those who are willing to relocate to Bahrain.
Senior Level Designer ( x1 )
As a Senior Level Designer you will be focused on designing levels in UE3, as well as scripting using Unreal Kismet. A lot of the time you will be working closely with the design and environmental art teams. Your biggest goal will be delivering a great player experience in terms of levels playability.

1- Studio: Empire Studios, an officially registered company based in the beautiful city of East Riffa. Our office is located at Al-Reem Center, a place surrounded by malls, and shops all over. The city itself is in the center of Bahrain, making every place reachable. Bahrain is a multi-cultural country with open-minded friendly citizens.
2- Project Genre: Mobile Tower-defense game set in the medieval times.
3- Duration: 3 - 4 Months
4- Office Hours: 8 Hours
5- Working Days: 5 working days per week starting from Sunday to Thursday.
6- Start Date: Mid Jun 2014.
7- Website: Still not done yet but it will be www.empirestudios.bh. We should have it up and running soon.

- Jaw-dropping level design skills
- Working experience in UE3; creating levels, using Unreal Kismet, Unreal Matinee, placing actors, etc
- Experience working in the gaming industry.
- Very strong creativity and an excellent eye for detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to easily communicate in English
Pluses:
- Having other skills (3D modelling, texturing, animating, video-editting etc)
- Creating shaders via Unreal's Material Editor
- Solid understanding of composition, form, lighting, and color
- Love for medieval times
- 3+ years experience in the game development industry in a similar position
- Shipped title or more
