I like the subject. Lots of potential for some great lighting/atmosphere and storytelling.
I presume from the title that your character's feet aren't touching the ground?
If that's the case, then you need to be able to trace a straight line from the mounting hoop right through to the shoulder. I hacked together a quick pic to show what I mean. Also, you'd need to choose either one hoop with hands together, or two hoops if you want to keep the arms-apart pose.
If he's standing on the flooor then I'd bend his arms a little to take the 'slack' out of the barbed wire. That would be his natural rest position. At the moment he looks like he's holding his arms up.
There are issues with the lighting but the pose is key for me.
