Hello, my name is Aaron Kaminer. View my portfolio
here. You can view my demo reel
here. I have been a 3d artist for 8 years now. I have been entirely self taught. (Learning from web sources like you guys!) and I would like to give back to the community via tutorials and streams. I am proficient in these programs:
Maya
Zbrush
NDO
DDO
Photoshop
UV Layout Pro
Topogun
HandPlane
Xnormals
For rendering I use:
Marmoset
Keyshot
Unity
Cryengine
Unreal Engine 4
I am starting by taking requests. I am willing to do series, streams, random segments, work flow/pipelines... whatever you want! I have posted on several other sites and have received some great ideas and feedback so far. I cant wait to hear from you all with ideas! Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you!

@ hollandje: thanks!!
And yes, this will be "next gen" and we will use pbr rendering. Follow my pinterest to see the images I have selected so far. Then re post in here if you would like to vote for one of them. I will add many many more by tomorrow.
I'm wondering if you could do a series on placing hair planes in maya. I know how to texture them but actually placing them on the mesh is confusing?
Thanks!
Why not use the monthly community noobchallenge as a base? Maybe not the whole scene, just the prop? Just an idea! :-)
Investigating this photo more... I have realized that this is already a 3d model. Doesnt mean we cant do it. But it has already been done. You can see it at vangcki.com.
This is my vote.
And thank you for doing the tutorials!
I'll second that.
I Like this gun (:
And I like this weapons too.
From Jeffrey Bounthavong.
This is the one. If all goes well I will be doing several tutorial series. So we can do lots of different models. I'LL get started tonight! Thanks for the feedback guys!
Part 2 is completed. It is uploading now and will be online tonight!
Can't wait for the first parts, gonna be good for sure
For example, junk piles/blown out portions of buildings?
Ill be subbing to this, its great to see someone share the knowledge
If not, I found a few tutorials on that already, so I'd love to see some advanced DDo techniques, because I have it, but don't really grasp the level of control I need
Yes I do. Maybe we will take a look into that workflow next. I plan to do as much as possible while time permits. Thanks for the words! We will be using ndo anf ddo to texture this robohead I am working on. with any luck, quixel will release their megascans and we will implement those as well!
I will follow this tutorial
Btw, if you could spare the time, could you perhaps sometime do a tutorial on making renders look this great?
ps more hard surface stuff coming soon. I am in the middle of a move. Wont be long. Thanks for all of the subs!!
Thanks!
