Nice First Post! (Theres a lot around at the moment). You can link to your image using the http:\ embed option. One thing i think you yellow is a little to green. I think that it should be more red i believe. Looks pretty cool with the dirt in the crevices, what maps to you have applied?
In general its probably good to flick through that whole page, lots of great tips and tricks in there.
The biggest critic I can see to help improve it would be to reduce its reflective values and make it more glossy to give it a more realistic painted feel. But that is very dependent on what your renderer your using to take the screenshots.
if you made the normals entirely in ndo you shouldnt have wavy lines anyways? correct me if im wrong.
I agree, you need to play with the speculars/reflectance values. Also, it seems as if you should have some edge padding since i can see some black areas at the edges
