Capt'n Barti Ddu - Character Review

Hello guys!

I've been working on a character in the past 2 weeks. I've posted several updates during last week in my Sketchbook (here is a link if you want to check it out: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128554)

While I am not happy with several parts of the sculpt I have to move on. I guess the most challenging part was the cloth... in general. Mostly in this case when the character has a lot of large cloths... which means that you have to sculpt the cloth without an obvious structure underneath.

Anyway, I don't want to make this post to long but I will definitely practice more cloth after this project. Other than that, I was curious to hear some thoughts from you guys.

What do you think about the whole design... the big shape..do they work?
Regardless of what I've said before, what are the biggest flaws you see in the sculpt? I really want to see what you guys observe because I'm sure that after 2 weeks straight of working on this character, I can't see clear anymore.

So go ahead if you have a couple of minutes and let me know what you think about the character.

Cheers for your time guys and here are the files:

Also here you can see the high polys that I will use to detail the character's cloths (the two gold works or the stripe that will be placed on the coat in the texture) or the belt peace (I will bake this part and than overlap the uvs).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

I would like to mention Magdalena Dadela. Thanks to her tutorial from ZbrushWorkshops (Creating Napoleon) I understood certain techniques that I am using with this character. Also, the embroidery that I will use is based on shapes and designs that appear in her tutorial. (link to her website http://mdadela.4ormat.com/#0). To anyone who wants to learn character creation for games, I totally recommend her tutorial.. Together with the two Vertex books and a few other resources its probably the best place you can go to see how its done. Huge thanks to her for crating this content!

Here is how this guy is looking at the moment.

The textures are still to clean and boring at the moment. And I need to fix the material definition or to tweak it on all the objects.
Would be nice to hear some thoughts from you guys!

    Cheers!
