Hi all.
So I've been wondering about Steam Greenlight. I've worked on a level in CryEngine for a year, also modelled, textured, did some concept painting, etc. I didn't get more than four screenshots and a small video (requirements for submission on Greenlight), but from that until I totally finish the game would need so much more of my time, it isn't even funny! I have no team to work with, I started purely out of passion.
It also feels a little weird now to just set aside everything I did in CryEngine and modelled in Maya, because I have no chance of finishing the game and publish it (in this life time)
IF it was something like Kickstarter, with enough backers and donations I could give it a try, but as far as I understand, S. Greenlight has none of that going on, it's just a pure show off of what you've done so far right?
I could submit it, but it has a $100 fee, and it feels like throwing away $100!

I think those screenshots are pretty weak. The video, on the other hand, while offering almost no information whatsoever...I actually liked. Nice music/sound, it had a nice sort of atmosphere or charm to it. I imagined walking through it on my own, and enjoying it. ...I just have no idea why I'd be doing it or what it's for.
Going to echo EQ's thoughts at the moment. That being said, with the exception of what I assume are placeholder HUD options, I thought you put together a nice little video. Just not enough to put it up for greenlighting.
Don't forget how insanely hard it is to get a licensing deal with crytek hence why everyone generally steers clear.
