Hey guys,
I'm a 3d artist coming from a film/motion graphics background who is ready to make the switch to game artist. I've got decent modeling, texturing, and Maya material skills but need to now learn a current gen game art workflow using Maya/Zbrush/UDK (or CryEngine).
I am basically looking for a good video tutorial that will give me a start to finish prop or environment art asset. It would be nice if it contained some normal map theory and Zbrush instruction as those are both new tools to me and I see the importance of being strong in those areas.
I looked a some Digital Tutors stuff but honestly none of them looked to impressive.
Starting off my goal would be to create a prop from a set with hopes to grow it out from there to make a portfolio piece.
Thanks so much for your help/suggestions.
