Hi polycount! I'm currently in a class and we're creating a modular 3D environment so I decided to make a rustic village that hopefully evokes stuff on this reference/inspiration picture.
Oh and here's some of the other stuff I made for the class before this.
Now going back to the environment, here's what I got so far.
It was my first time doing tiling textures in Zbrush and had a lot of frustrating times trying to figure out how to do it. Still not 100% sure on how to make it tile perfectly using the 2.5D tool (I've been just taking a plane and roughly making it little larger than the canvas size of 2048x2048 ) and not sure why it doesn't fill out the canvas when I frame the plane. Any advice and hot tips would be very much appreciated :-)

To show what I meant is, I make a plane on a 2048x2048 canvas, go into edit mode (because it won't let me frame it otherwise) and press the frame button.
Then I try to see if it tiles by using tilde key to move it horizontal/vertically and it gives me a gap like this

@Skinpop - Oh man I love those reference pictures! Thanks for the heads-up.
Here's some update - layout changed a bit haha.
The scene will change quite a lot once there's some window variation in place.
I look forward to seeing it develop
@Curzed - Yea hopefully I can reign in the normals and materials/colors in the UDK
The pieces I am using for this scene

Looking good though, ill be waiting for more
I tried having the wooden walled places but to me it felt out of place a bit.
Here's my progress.
