Hello, since I finally released my portfolio with some models I made for DayZ,
I thought it wouldnt hurt to make also small art dump thread, so here they are :P

Love your textures! With Dayz this used look works very well. Is this the final texture size for Dayz or did they scale them down for the game?
The only thing that is a bit weird to me is that the Binoculars are copper below the paint. Perhaps that was the case, but I'm more used to seing white speculars there. The material looks awesome on the compass, though!
So, did you stay with Bohemia Interactive, or was this just a job? Did you work in-house? I've always been a huge fan of their games and I imagine they must be nice guys. They put a dope-smoking santa on the bottom of the large chimneys in Arma ^^ Says something about their attitude back then.

Thx guys @Kimon: nope, check link below @Nrose: yeah the game seems to have some saturation issues, but maybe they gonna fix it, who knows :P @Sinking: I believe they scaled it down and even edited/tweaked some materials so it might appear ingame a bit different than in xolilul
No, I was freelancing for them and I no longer work for them but yeah it was pretty nice experience :-) @Evil: yeah exactly @D4V1DC: thank you too @luge: thanks and yes youre right, they are quite oversharpened but since game-res textures were downsized, in the end it doesnt matter so much

These brass binoculars are often painted up

its more unusual to see the hinge made from brass since brass is a very delicate material they are usually made from steel or iron.
