free version of Ndo2 license?

I understand from quixel's website that they are releasing the previous versions of ndo2 and ddo for free so I decided to try it out.I downloaded the previous version of both ddo and ndo2.DDO works fine but ndo2 is asking for activation of license with a 30 day timer.Is the ndo2 previous version really free?

I think they only plan on releasing ddo for free, but you can still get the original version of ndo here http://eat3d.com/blog/metalliandy/ndo-normal-map-creation-script-photoshop

Thanks for the link,Bradler.I kinda don't get what ddo is for.I am new to quixel's products.For u to use ddo effectively,u need ndo2,right?

No. DDo is for making diffuse (and some other) maps quickly. You can use your baked maps/mesh in it. NDo is for making only normal maps. You can load your baked normalmap into it and you can add more details, or you can make one from scratch. One can totally work without the another.
