Required Skills:
Proficiency in a leading 3D modeling software package, preferably 3D Studio Max (3DS Max)
Poly modeling hard surface and organic
UV mapping and texturing (from photos and from scratch)
Realistic and stylized rendering using Mental Ray® or Scanline
Basic knowledge of animation (non character based)
Low poly modeling
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop®
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to work under art program specifications in a production environment is a must.
Experience with the following is a plus:
Basic knowledge of Unity 3D®
A solid understanding of Adobe Flash®, After Effects®, Illustrator®, InDesign®
Understanding of graphic design principals
Knowledge of other media applications is recommended
Knowledge of digital sculpting software, such as ZBrush
Responsibilities:
As a 3D Generalist, the right candidate will create artwork and assets for projects in Unity 3D (3D gaming platform), clinical tvr (our proprietary tactile simulation technology), and other exciting technologies.
Artists will join mSS team in the development of a variety of interactive medical animation and training programs to create unique, accurate, and high quality medical and scientific content. Some work will require content development, reading of text manuscript, and reworking media and art for new and better presentations. Artists will be involved in producing medical and other artwork for use in a variety of eLearning platforms. We encourage Medical Illustrators to apply, however this is not a requirement.
