Why my revolve tool in maya 2014 make everything gigantic?

Hello!
I´m new at autodesk Maya 2014..So im having some problems with the revolve tool here..
I draw the line and closed the curves, but when i choose to revolve the curve it gets really big and kind of out proportion..:(

Have you tried freezing transformations and deleting history on the curve? Have you tried moving the pivot around by activating the move tool and holding down the 'd' key?

I moved the pivot around my curve and that fix it the problem!
