Lion Fountain [W.IP.]

Hey everyone, I am starting this Lion fountain. My goal is for a hand painted diffuse only look. I created an initial sculpt and used it to help me paint what I have so far.

I have had some suggestions from friends that it needs a dark to light gradation, and some AO painting.

Any more suggestions at this phase will be much appreciated.

    Hey man, that's cool! What is the materialism supposed to be? Because right now it doesn't quite look like stone just yet, it's leaning towards a bit of a copper look almost actually...

    Yeah, I think you should revise the color and surface definition a bit.

    The stone texture reminds me a lot of Diablo 3's Cathedral for example. Still needs a little bit of work though.


    And am I the only one who was a bit confused seeing a Sumo-Ringer in the UV for the Lion's face? :D

    Artaekos, I am going for a stone look. I actually haven't thought about the specific sort of stone material. I'll try to revise the colors and give you guys an update soon.

    Xaragoth it is Diablo 3-ish inspired in terms of the texturing.
