The Intro:
Hey there Poolykounters. Starting a new project in the wake of some recent insights I've obtained post-GDC. I've decided to give this whole "bent normals" work flow a shot, to see how it works. I figure if I supplement that with some variety of my previous hand painted knowledge, the outcome could be pretty sweet.
The Objective:
To create an entire biome model/texture pack aimed at something in a hand painted style that could fit into the likes of Wildstar/Wow/League Of Legends. It will be (you guessed it) based in a fantasy style, but if I play my cards right, it could just as well wind up fitting in a sci-fi setting as well.
This will be the first phase in a complete wipe of my portfolio, in an effort to being a "spring cleaning" if you will, and completely overhaul the thing entirely.
The Process:
I will hope to flesh this out as I go with pictures, but basically, for now I will be typing out the major steps of my workflow so anyone new can follow along.
The Concepts:
This section will get updated with more and more concepts as I poop them out.
Wip shed:
I'll keep a lot of my WIP pics in here for you guys to point and laugh at.
(Here's a little sampler)
Thanks guys! Hopefully I'll have frequent updates for you all!

Concepts look awesome. I'm looking forward for more to come!
Also! Rocks!
Those were made using Fanny Vergne's alpha method described in the latest vertex. I've had to fill in a few of the gaps what with her using such heavy reliance on matcaps and such, but things are still going pretty well I think. Excited to make some more of these puppies, and a few tilable textures to start blocking in a landscape!!!
