Reducing Vertex count while preserving UV

Hello guys,

I have a question, for a game we make in our studio I took a few items and
put them on a plane, I used spline to cut them which was fast but gave me
a lot of vertex, is there any way to reduce the vertex while still preserving the UV?

I also add an image to explain, on the left there are 493 vertex and on the right 143.
I'm looking for some script/software that can help me do it automatically. Now I do it by hand, I take the item turn it to a giant N-gon, delete vertex and triangulate.
There are about 500 of those items.
